About the Project

Originally built in the 1990s, this home was ready for a kitchen update that better supported modern living. The existing layout and finishes no longer fit the homeowners’ needs, with archways and dated flooring making the space feel closed off.

The renovation focused on modernization from top to bottom. We removed the archways, updated the flooring, and refreshed the entire main space. The project also included a bathroom renovation, new cabinetry, upgraded fixtures, updated railings, fresh paint, and refinished ceilings, bringing the home into a clean, contemporary style while improving everyday functionality.

What Made This Project Unique

This project took place in Chestermere, which required obtaining a local Chestermere renovation licence and coordinating inspections specific to the city. While the process itself wasn’t overly challenging, it did require careful scheduling and clear communication to ensure everything met municipal requirements.

What truly stood out, however, were the clients. They were incredibly kind and collaborative throughout the renovation, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable for the team.

Overcoming the Challenges

One memorable moment during the project involved the bathroom renovation. The homeowner initially wanted to remove and reinstall the existing toilet. After reviewing the condition and long-term practicality, we recommended replacing it instead, and ultimately provided a brand-new toilet to ensure quality, performance, and peace of mind.

In the kitchen, the client opted for framed cabinetry, a design choice that added character and craftsmanship to the space.

Combined with the updated finishes and layout, the kitchen became the true highlight of the renovation.
